After a visit of the affected region, the Marburger Mission donates 5,000 €. Those responsible are very impressed by Gero Hilger's work and confirm their intentions to continue their commitment towards Tsunami Childcare.

Within the scope of a promotion day, non-medical practitioners of the Heilbronn area are presenting their methods of treatment and are offering trial treatments to become better acquainted with the issues. The total proceeds amounting to 910 € went to Tsunami Childcare.
Godparenthoods
The teaching staff of the Freie Waldorfschule Heilbronn has promised the amount of 175 € per month for one year as of April 2005 for the taking on of godparenthoods.
Three families are being supported with these financial means.
The monthly transfer charges for the paying out of the godparenthood amounts comes to 450.00 THB, so that a monthly balance of approx. 10.00 € is remaining on the account. This amount is not paid out, but is left as a reserve for exchange rate fluctuations for the time being. The distribution of surpluses is planned for the end of the year.
First transfer
Until Friday this week, donations amounting to 5.800,82 € have been collected on the donations account in Kassel. 5,770.00 € have been transferred to the account of Tsunami Childcare in Thailand.
The major part of this amount is contributed by the Freie Waldorfschule in Heilbronn, whose events, the wow-day, a benefit concert and the taking on of a godparenthood by the teaching staff, has reached a donations amount of all in all 4,866.82 €.
Wow-day in Heilbronn
The pupils of the Freie Waldorfschule conduct a working day in businesses of the region or in their families and donated the money they earned to Tsunami Childcare. All in all, they have collected 2,500.- €.
Benefit concert
This year's concert of the upper school of the Freie Waldorfschule Heilbronn is given as a benefit concert for the victims of the flood in Southeast Asia. The children have donated the earnings amounting to 1,600 € to Tsunami Childcare.
How it all started
Tsunami Childcare was established by Gero as a result of him being spontaneously given donations by former customers of his travel agency in Thailand - together with the task of sharing them among those victims of the flood disaster, who needed the help most urgently.
For the further support of his project, he turns to friends in Germany, who at first spread the information by means of a chain of private emails and ask for support. Almost 1,000.00 € of private donations have been collected in this first phase. In addition, this is also the starting point for the initiative to develop this site.
